Born in 1934, graduated from the Oil Painting Department of China Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1953, and completed the graduate studies of Oil Painting Major with distinction. In 1983, he assumed the post of Vice-President of China Central Academy of Fine Arts. And from 1987 to 2001, he was the president there. Now he is a Standing Committee member of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, Deputy Director of National Art Education Committee, Honorary Chairman of China Artists Association. His oil painting works are mainly about portraits and historical themes. His works such as Meeting in December, Tajik Bride, Young Singer, Qu Qiubai, A Doctor’s Portrait, and Painter, have become the representative work of Chinese contemporary oil paintings. 

Born in Shanghai in 1952, graduated from postgraduate courses of Chinese painting at Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts, and then taught there. Currently, he is Deputy Curator of CPC Central Research Institute of Culture and History, Vice Chairman of China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Vice Chairman of China Artists Association, Honorary President and Doctoral Advisor of Academy of Art Design, Tsinghua University, and member of the 12th National Committee of CPPCC.

Born in 1934, studied in the Art Department, Repin Academy of Fine Arts in Leningrad in 1955, and achieved Master’s Degree in 1960. He is now a professor and doctoral supervisor at China Central Academy of Fine Arts, chief editor of two magazines- Art Research and World Art, Honorary Professor at Repin Academy of Fine Arts, Part-time Professor at Peking University, and Visiting Professor at Academy of Art Design, Tsinghua University. He is the author of books including A Preliminary Discussion of Modernist Arts, Traditional Fine Arts and Modernism, Modern Western Fine Arts, etc. He translated the History of Ancient Art written by Johann Joachim Winckelmann into Chinese. In 1999, he won the Medal of Pushkin issued by Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. In 2001, he won the second prize of Award for Literary Criticism issued by China Federation of Literary and Art Circles. In 2002, by writing and editing the book Schema and Spirit, he won the first prize for excellent textbooks issued by Ministry of Education. 

Born in 1952, is currently a Standing Committee member of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, Deputy Director of Counsellors’ Office of the State Council, First-Class Artist of Beijing Art Academy, President of Beijing Art Academy, Vice-Chairman of China Artists Association, Chairman of Beijing Artists Association, Vice-Chairman of Beijing Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Deputy Director of the Calligraphy Studio of Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, member of Congress of Chinese Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Doctoral Supervisor at the Graduate School of Chinese National Academy of Arts, Vice-President of China Overseas Friendship Association, Vice-President of Beijing Friendship Association For Non-Party Senior Intellectuals, Vice-President of Beijing People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, an expert receiving special government allowance from the State Council. 

Graduated from the Art History Department of China Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) in 1989. Previously, he was a Teaching Assistant, Lecturer and Associate Professor at Art History Department of CAFA successively. He was also Director of Teaching Affairs Office, Dean of Urban Design School, Assistant to President, and Academic Board member at CAFA. Currently, he is Director of Art Department of Ministry of Culture. 

Born in 1961, achieved Master’s Degree at the Sculpture Department of Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts in 1990. He taught at Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts and China Central Academy of Fine Arts successively. Currently, he is the president of Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts, a professor of the Sculpture Department and an Academic Board member at Academy of Art Design, Tsinghua University, and a professor at Shanghai Xu Beihong Academy of Fine Arts. He is also a deputy to Beijing Municipal People’s Congress, a member of China Artists Association, an Executive Director of China Sculptors Society, a member of Royal Society of British Sculptors, and the Art Director of Zero Art Center. 

Former curator of National Art Museum of China, now is the President, professor and doctoral supervisor of China Central Academy of Fine Arts. He is also the chairman of China Artists Association, deputy director of the Art Education Committee of the Ministry of Education, deputy director of the Calligraphy and Painting Studio of the CPPCC National Committee, librarian of Central Research Institute of Culture and History, chairman of Beijing Artists Association, vice chairman of Beijing Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and member of the CPPCC National Committee. He has been engaged in the research of Chinese Fine Arts of the 20th Century, contemporary art review and exhibition curation, and research on art Museology. He has published art research and reviews of more than one million words, organized a variety of academic seminars and a large number of international art exchanges, built cooperation with well-known international art museums and colleges, which helped to promote the exchange of excellent art achievements of various countries and enhance the international influence of the Chinese art. His oil paintings have been shown in various academic exhibitions.

Born in 1961, graduated from the Department of Fine Arts at Fujian Normal University. In 1988, he completed the “The First Postgraduate Courses of Fine Arts Education in Teachers’ Training Colleges Organized by State Education Commission” at Southwest Normal University. Currently, he is Secretary of Party Committee and Secretary General of China Artists Association, and Deputy Director of Organizing Committee Office and Creation Steering Committee Office of “Artistic Creation Project on Chinese Civilization and History”, which is co-organized by China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Ministry of Finance, and Ministry of Culture. 

Born in 1962, is member of the National Committee of CPPCC, Head of Art Institute of Chinese National Academy of Art, President of Department of Sculpture in Chinese National Academy of Art, Deputy Director of Steering Committee of Construction of Urban Sculpture and Director of Arts Committee of the Construction of Urban Sculpture, the Academy of Fine Arts of Nanjing University, a Council Member of China Artists Association(CAA), and the Deputy Director of Sculpture Art Committee of CAA. 

Born in 1960, graduated from Beijing Normal University, and is currently a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at Peking University, and a Council Member of China Artists Association. He is the author of books such as Art Psychology, The Dimension of Extension- Moving Towards Philosophy of Art History, 15 Lectures about Western Art History, Colorful Images- The Culture Dimension of Visual Arts, etc. 

 Ma Shulin, born in Shenyang in 1956, graduated from Luxun Academy of Fine Arts in 1982. He served as the Vice President of Luxun Academy of Fine Arts, President of the High School Affiliated to Luxun Academy of Fine Arts and Vice Chairman of Liaoning Artists Association. He held the position of Deputy Director of National Art Museum of China. Deputy Director of Chinese Painting Art Committee of China Artists Association (CAA), member of CAA and professor. He is also a judging panel member of the senior professional titles evaluation process initiated by the Ministry of Culture of China, judging panel member of the 10th and 11th National Exhibition of Fine Arts, member of the Major History-Themed Art Creation Project Committee, member of the Committee of Art Creation Projects on Chinese Civilization and History, researcher of Beijing Institute of Culture and History, and researcher of China National Academy of Painting. Mr. Ma enjoys special allowance granted by the State Council of China.  

Born in He’nan Province in 1955, is now a professor and member of the Academic Committee of Academy of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University, deputy director of Oil Painting Art Committee of China Artists Association, honorary professor of Repin Academy of Fine Arts, distinguished professor of Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts, and corresponding academician of Painting Institute of Italian Academy of Art. He is an expert who enjoys "special government allowance of the State Council" and was awarded an honorary title on the First National Award of Young and Middle-aged Literary and Art Practitioners with Virtue and Art Techniques". He once served as vice president of He’nan Academy of Calligraphy and Painting, vice chairman of He’nan Artists Association, CPPCC member of He’nan Province and council member of the 4th, 6th, 7th and 8th sessions of China Artists Association.

　　Born in Hubei Province in 1961, graduated from Wuhan University in 1983. As a state-sponsored visiting scholar, he studied in Pantheon-Sorbonne University (1997-1998) and Sapienza University of Rome (2002-2003, 2010, and 2018 respectively) for four times. He is now the director, researcher, and doctoral supervisor of Foreign Art Research Office, Institute of Fine Arts, Chinese National Academy of Arts, distinguished professor of Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts, member of European and American Students Association and Rotating Chairman of the 9th Annual Meeting of Chinese Art Critics in 2015.
　　 

 Wang Yong, born in 1945, graduated from Peking University with a Master’s Degree. He is a researcher and Doctoral Supervisor at Chinese National Academy of Arts. He mainly works on the research of Indian art and Chinese and foreign art exchange. He has published 12 monographs and translations. 

Graduated from the History Department of Peking University in 1983 and from the History Department of the Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in 1987. From 1994 to 1997, he studied Japanese painting techniques and engaged in painting as a foreign visiting researcher of Tokyo University and a distinguished overseas artist (painter) of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan. His paintings were exhibited in the First Beijing International Art Biennale and the 10th, 11th and 13th National Exhibition of Fine Arts. He served as an academic host, judge or curator of the First China Heavy Color Painting Exhibition, the First Chinese Rock Color Painting Exhibition and the fourth to tenth National Gongbi Painting Exhibitions. At present, he is the director of the Institute of Fine Arts and doctoral supervisor of Chinese National Academy of Arts, chief editor of Art Observation, deputy director of the Academic Committee of Chinese National Academy of Arts, member of CPPCC National Committee, member of the Fine Arts Group of the Academic Degree Committee of the State Council, and council member and deputy director of the Theory Committee of China Artists Association.

Born in 1962, is Standing President of China National Academy of Painting, a Doctoral Supervisor at Chinese National Academy of Arts, and a Council Member of China Artists Association. He has won the honorary title of the second term of “National Young and Middle-aged Literary and Art Workers with Excellence in both Performing Skills and Moral Integrity”. He has entered the list of “Four Batches of Talents” selected by the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of the CPC, the list of “Excellent Young and Middle-aged Experts with Outstanding Contributions”, and is an expert receiving special government allowance from the State Council.

　　Born in Beijing in 1954, graduated from the Printmaking Department of Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts in 1982, and completed his Master degree in 1989. He was one of the introduced talents of Tsinghua University and the director of the Printmaking Teaching and Research Section of Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts. Now, he is a professor, doctoral supervisor and deputy director of the Painting Department of the Academy of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University, deputy director of the Printmaking Art Committee of China Artists Association, and vice president of the Printmaking Department of China National Academy of Painting.
　　 
　　

Born in 1956, graduated from the Central Academy of Art and Design in 1982 and stayed on as a teacher. In 1986, he went to France for further study with government fund at the Université de Paris I and got the master’s degree and the doctor’s degree. He also studied at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-arts de Paris and Ecole Nationale Superieure des Arts Decoratifs de Paris. In 1955, he went back to the Central Academy of Art and Design to work as an associate professor there and an expert consultant for the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality. From 2000 to 2004, he served as a professor and the director of the Research Institute of the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University. From 2005 to 2008, he worked as a professor and doctoral supervisor and the director of the Department of Painting and the deputy dean of the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University. Since 2009, he has served as a professor and doctoral supervisor of the Department of Painting, Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University.

　　Born in Shaanxi Province in 1965, studied in the Art History Department of China Central Academy of Fine Arts from 1984 to 1988. She started to work in the Art Department of the Art Bureau of the Ministry of Culture in July 1988, and served as director of the Literature and Art Department of the Art Bureau of the Ministry of Culture from 2005 to 2014. Now, she is deputy curator of National Art Museum of China, council member of China Artists Association, vice chairman of Beijing Artists Association, and deputy director and secretary general of the Art Museum Committee of China Museum Association. She has long been dedicated to the development and management of art museums and academies, organized and participated in various national-level art exhibitions. what’s more, she has played an active role in organizing important events, including major art creation projects with historic themes, the 7th to the 11th National Art Exhibitions, the 1st China Art Expo, the 1st China Design Exhibition, the 1st to the 3rd China Poetry Festivals, the national art collection and donation awards, and the free opening of art museums. Her articles on contemporary art creation are published on newspapers and magazines.
　　

Born in Shandong Province in 1942, entered the Department of Fine Arts History of Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1978 to pursue postgraduate education. Since 1981, he has been engaged in the research of art history theory and the creation of calligraphy and painting in National Art Museum of China, and has served as a researcher, deputy director and director of the Museum’s Research Section. He is a founding executive council member of the Chinese Painting Society, member of the editorial board of Art Magazine, member of the Beijing Museum of Culture and History, deputy director of the Art Theory Professional Committee of China National Academy of Painting, vice president of Jiang Zhaohe Art Research Association of China Artists Association, and former deputy director of the Theory Committee of China Artists Association.

　　Born in Liaoning Province in 1955, graduated from the PLA Academy of Art in 1989 and from the doctoral courses of Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2004. He was the former studio director of the Military Museum and a national first-class artist. He is currently a member of the Oil Painting Art Committee of China Artists Association, council member of the Institute of Chinese Oil Painting, distinguished artist of the China Oil Painting Institute of Chinese National Academy of Arts, and member of the Exhibition Eligibility Commission of National Art Museum of China.

Born in 1962, is a Doctor of Art History. Researcher and doctoral supervisor of Chinese National Academy of Arts, director and professor of Fine Arts Research Center of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, distinguished professor of Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts of Shanghai University and distinguished researcher of China National Academy of Painting. Born in 1963, graduated from the major of Japanese at Foreign Languages Department of Sichuan University. From 1986 to 1987, she studied at Tokyo University of the Arts, and achieved course-completion certificate for graduate studies. Currently, she is Deputy Secretary of Party Committee, and the Inspector of China Artists Association, and participated several times in planning and organizing “Modern Chinese Art Show” held in Japan and some other countries. Her theses include The Influence of Painting in Song and Yuan Dynasties on Japan, Chinese and Foreign Art Exchange in the New Period, Contemporary Japanese Painting, Investigation on the 50th Venice Biennial, Investigation on the 26th Sao Paulo Art Biennial, etc. Her translations include Collected Western Classic Painting Works- 16th to 20th Century, The Genre Paintings of Chardin and Fragonard, Yungang Grottoes: Volume II, Asia’s Common Topic- Realism, The Unfolding of Japanese “Western Painting” and Its Future, The Characteristics of Contemporary Chinese New Year Pictures, Hermitage Museum, etc.

Council member of China Artists Association, deputy director of Watercolor Art Committee of China Artists Association, vice chairman of Guangdong Artists Association, director of Watercolor Art Committee of Guangdong Artists Association, member of Leading Party Members Groups and inspector of Shenzhen Federation of Literary and Art Circles. He served as a judge of the 11th, 12th and 13th National Art Exhibitions, researcher of Shenzhen Graduate School of Tsinghua University, visiting professor of Art College of Xiamen University and visiting professor of Art Department of Shenzhen University.

Born in 1948, is a Council Member of China Artists Association (CAA), member of Chinese Painting Art Committee of CAA, Vice Chairman of Guangdong Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Chairman of Shenzhen Federation of Literary and Art Circles, President of Beijing Art Academy, national first-class painter. He once was art councilor and planning committee member of Biennales in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Chengdu. He is the chief planner of Shenzhen International Biennale of Water and Ink Painting. 

Born in 1941, is a professor at China Central Academy of Fine Arts(CAFA), Council Member and Director of Theory of China Artists Association, Vice Director of Art History Institute of China National Academy of Painting. He once was Director of Art History Department of CAFA and Director of Graduate Faculty there. 

Vincenzo Sanfo, President of Italian Center of Culture and Art, international curator of Beijing Biennale, visiting professor of Shandong University of Art and Design. He has been the general coordinator of Chinese Pavillion in Venice Biennale, curator of Shandong International Photography Biennale.

Beate Reifenscheid, born in Gelsenkirchen in 1961, studied in Ruhr-Universitaet Bochum and Complutense University of Madrid. After receiving her doctorate in 1988, she was Collections Manager and did research on contemporary art and media at the Saarland Museum in Saarbrücken. She has been the director of the Ludwig Museum since 1997, and planned and organized several important international contemporary art exhibitions.
