1933年，中国现代散文家朱自清先生写下了赞颂春天，充满诗情画意的散文名篇《春》，而在历届北京双年展的各国作品当中，描绘美丽春光的作品也有很多，在2020这个不一样的春天，这个让我们每个人都会终生铭记的春天，特辑选部分各国艺术家表现春天的作品，以此献给我们一直共同享有的春天，感恩通过所有人的共同努力一起换来的我们取得阶段性胜利的“抗疫春天”，同时期待正处在防疫紧要关头的兄弟国家尽早取得新冠防控的决战胜利，愿全世界的疫情早日结束，祝福全球所有的兄弟姐妹都能够早日回归春天的怀抱，回归自然家园的怀抱。
In 1933, Mr. Zhu Ziqing, a modern Chinese essayist, wrote a famous prose Spring, in which he praised spring full of poetic feelings. There are also many works depicting beautiful spring in the previous Beijing Biennales. The spring 2020 is a special one and all of us will remember it for life. At this moment, we select some works related to the theme of Spring from previous Beijing Biennales to salute the Spring we share together. We are grateful for the staged victory of "anti epidemic spring" in China by the joint efforts of everyone. At the same time, we are looking forward to the decisive victory of brother countries who are at the critical moment of fighting against novel coronavirus. We hope that the epidemic situation in the world will end soon. We wish all brothers and sisters in the world can return to the embrace of spring and nature as soon as possible.

The ninth Beijing Biennale is planned to be held in late 2021 to early 2022 to coincide with the Beijing Winter Olympic Games. We will timely promote the preparatory work of the exhibition according to the actual situation during the epidemic period. Important work updates will be released on the official Wechat and website of the Beijing Biennale in time.
